Halma, the leading safety, health and environmental technology group, announces the appointment of Roy Twite and the resignations of Norman Blackwell and Steve Marshall as non-executive Directors (NEDs) of the Company, effective 24 July 2014.

Roy TwiteRoy Twite is an Executive Director at IMI plc. During his career with IMI, Roy has held a number of senior roles in all of IMI's platform businesses and since 2011 has had responsibility for the Severe Service platform. Roy has a BEng in Engineering from Nottingham University and a Masters in Manufacturing Business Leadership from Cambridge University.

Following Norman Blackwell’s April 2014 appointment as chairman of Lloyds Banking Group Plc and Steve Marshall’s May 2014 appointment as executive chairman of Balfour Beatty plc, both have decided not to seek re-election at the AGM on 24 July 2014.

Stephen Pettit has agreed to the Board’s request to remain a non-executive Director up until the 2015 AGM. The Board is in the process of recruiting an additional non-executive Director.
