STI has produced industrial safety devices since 1894. At that time their products were known as Boure locks, named after the inventor of trapped key interlocks, who was awarded a gold medal at the World’s Fair in 1900.
Under the name Trayvou, then SERV and finally SERV Trayvou Interverrouillage (STI Interlocks), the company helped reconstruct global infrastructure after the Second World War.
STI manufactures safety interlocks for industrial applications. Its products help companies to enforce safe operating procedures by ensuring operators follow a strictly defined sequence of steps when gaining access to a dangerous area.
STI’s products include locks and switches for control circuits, switchgear and access points. The company also safeguards valves and warehouse loading bays.
Located near Paris, France, STI is represented throughout the world via a network of distributors and sales people.
STI operates within the Halma Process Safety Sector.
Products are made in Tunisia using Six-Sigma lean production principles. This has quality management accreditations including ISO 9001:2008.
