Energy and building management
Halma building management systems measure environmental data via wireless sensors fitted throughout a property. Our energy and water management systems wirelessly transmit data to a building owner's computer to help them to reduce their environmental impact by saving energy, reducing their carbon footprint, reducing water consumption and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation. Find out more on the Radio Tech web site and News blog. Radio Tech is part of the Halma Water Management group of companies.
Our energy management systems qualify for the Carbon Trust’s Enhanced Capital Allowances scheme, part of the UK Government’s programme to manage climate change.

Environmental monitoring system
Our innovative wireless environmental monitoring system measures energy efficiency and building performance to create low environmental impact buildings with low carbon footprints. Sensors monitor internal and external temperature and humidity, surface temperature, carbon dioxide levels, window and door openings, electricity, gas and water consumption. These monitoring systems are designed to meet standards specified by the Energy Savings Trust, a UK non-profit organisation that provides advice on how to stop wasting energy. Legionnaires’ disease control
Legionnaires’ disease is a type of pneumonia. It is a serious airborne disease that can be fatal. To prevent outbreaks, building operators must control water temperature and routinely flush outlets. Aquavision is our innovative, fully automated Legionnaires’ disease control system developed to assist water treatment and property management companies to comply with UK health and safety law. It remotely monitors water storage and usage temperatures on single or multiple sites. It also performs automatic flushing and temperature testing of selected outlets. Automatic meter reading
Our SMART automatic water meter reading system monitors and records consumption for domestic and commercial billing. Consumption data can also be used to cut water waste and spot leaks. Data transmitters attached to water meters store up to 1 year of data which can be collected by the supplying utility or building management company via walk-by, drive-by or wireless telemetry. This system can be configured to download the latest meter reading for simple domestic billing applications or logged consumption data to support tariff billing, commercial billing or consumption profiling. |
